To overcome today’s global challenges, we must accelerate the adoption of the innovations, tools, and awareness of changemakers driving us towards more sustainable agriculture.

As sponsors of Environmental Tools for Improving Sustainability Decisions in Agriculture 2021, we believe bringing together business, agricultural, and academic leaders to share the latest tools, technologies and advances will help ensure sustainability can be a path for economic growth, winning business strategies, and social well-being. This event will focus on the most current and ongoing tools, programs, and science that has yet to make its way into traditional LCA educational outlets.

The American Center for Life Cycle Assessment (ACLCA) is a nonprofit membership organization providing education, awareness, advocacy and communications to build capacity and knowledge of environmental LCA. ACLCA membership consists of industry, academia, government, consulting, and NGOs.

ACLCA brings together diverse organizations with a stake in the implementation and application of LCA. ACLCA also produces the LCA annual conference–the largest LCA meeting in North America–along with monthly webinars, member newsletter, and an active Industry, Education, Policy, Product Category Rule (PCR), Outreach, Student and Certification Committees.

The future poses stark challenges for food, agriculture, energy and the environment. At the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, we transform those challenges into opportunities that benefit everyone.

We prepare our students and stakeholders to thrive in a global marketplace. We pursue cutting-edge research on campus and at 18 stations across the state, and we put those results to work in all 100 North Carolina counties. We create innovative public-private partnerships to solve the problems facing the planet.

We’ve lived NC State’s land-grant mission since the university first opened its doors; no college can claim deeper roots in North Carolina. Today, we strive to bring the fruits of our teaching, research and extension to the whole world.
